SUZUKI NORTH ISLAND SPRINT TRIATHLON
The TRI NZ Suzuki North Island Champs is a fast-paced race filled with thrilling moments and fantastic wins, suitable for athletes of all levels.
Swim in the sheltered harbour of Ngāmotu beach, ride the short, sharp hills around New Plymouth, and run the scenic Taranaki foreshore before hitting the blue carpet amid cheers from the crowds of supporters. This event is for anyone aged sixteen years plus (age taken 31 December).
With a North Island Championships title up for grabs and the opportunity to join the New Zealand Sprint Distance Triathlon team at the ITU World Triathlon Championships, this is a race you don’t want to miss! Want to conquer Taranaki with your tribe? Sign up to the NZ Sprint Champs as a group! Teams can consist of two to three people. Please note, teams will not be eligible for Tri NZ Championship medals.

- 750m swim (one lap)
- 18.5km bike (draft legal)
- 5km run (three laps)
- Tri NZ National Championship medals in 5 year age groups
- Teams can consist of 2 - 3 people (not eligible for national championship medals)
